These are difficult times. That’s why we particularly admire the selfless efforts of local charities like the Market Harborough Jubilee Foodbank. So, when an opportunity arose to sponsor the charity’s transport resources, we happily stepped up to the plate.
It really is our pleasure to provide the Jubilee Foodbank with sponsorship funds that will enable its deliveries to operate across the region for the next 12 months. We are delighted to be able to give something back to the local community. Even though our clients are located nationwide (none are based in our hometown), the local community is invariably something we all come to rely on, and often take for granted. Thanks to the impact of the pandemic, many of us no longer overlook the importance of community.
In the past, we sponsored a kids’ football team and provided winter jackets to keep the substitutes warm on the side-lines. Everyone would agree that getting kids active outdoors is a worthy cause, but this year we feel that sponsoring a charity supporting a wide cross-section of those in need around our region is more pressing as we face unprecedented health and economic challenges.
The past six months have been especially hard for many, meaning the Jubilee Foodbank has been in more demand than ever. We look forward to working with them and seeing what great work they do first-hand.
